Chaos is always better in pairs, and with this in mind Celoon Dion was built as a companion piece for Gooestoph. Building on the basic concept I added in a spring loaded articulating head to give me greater possibilities for interaction with viewers. The springs protect the servo motors from being damaged when spectators give him head pats (or when he inevitably runs into things), and they also provide a large amount of free animation whenever he drives over bumps or changes direction.
The body of the loon was sculpted and painted by Janet Mader.
