Goosetoph is a radio controlled puppet based around a plastic goose decoy.
Originally built in a couple days as a mechanical prototype to test the diamond shaped drive system (two drive wheels in the middle, a single caster at each end), he has now become a popular, albeit unsanctioned, addition to many festivals and events.
Originally added for reasons of ground clearance, the body on goosetoph is able to be raised and lowered by several inches with a large servo. This simple addition, in combination with its movement, and sound effects, has proved to be invaluable at giving life and expression to what is otherwise a solid lump of plastic.
